Having Registered Massage Therapists on site is a great service for our clients. Client love being able to have a massage after their workout or come in weekly to get kinks and tight spots worked on. Also for those that are in jobs requiring specific postures (desk work, dental, etc) massage is able to work out the stiff and sore areas and decrease risk for potential injuries.
With our RMT's being Certified Trainers as well, it is a win-win situation for both client and coaching staff. Now we can work together with information from our Massage Department to get to heart of the matter on nagging injuries, movement pattern issues and resolve problems quickly. Instead of taking weeks or months to resolve an issue, we are now able to see results very quickly. This comes from having accurate information quickly that allows us to adjust/change program workouts to address any issues.
Even from a pure maintenance perspective it is a benefit for the client and to us. Clients are recovering quicker between workouts – especially the keeners who are here every day.

Having recently moved to Victoria from Stratford ON, I am very happy and excited to be working with the clients and staff of Victoria Wellness Professionals. The past five years I have worked in both Physiotherapy clinics and Day Spas enabling me to learn from two aspects on how to treat people. My approach with treatment is to provide a thorough and effective massage that gets results and makes the client feel good both during and after their massage.
I am very much a believer in living a healthy and active lifestyle. Many of my past clients led sedentary lives both at their work and in their free time, not all that willing to exercise and looking to therapists to rid them of their chronic pain. This was discouraging and exhausting for me. I am happy to help people and would also like to see people help themselves. And massage is only part of taking care of you. This is a significant reason why I feel this is a fitting environment for me to work and be part of this team. As for myself, I grew up playing team sports since the age of 5 starting with fastball, which lead to soccer, basketball, volleyball and ringette. My interest has now shifted to tennis (which I love!) and working out. And with moving to this beautiful island I now enjoy hiking the trails and looking forward to trying more activities like stand up paddle boarding, surfing, and mountain biking. Looking forward to a healthy, active and well-rounded life here in my new home of B.C.
