Hey Narina,
Right one...love your article and photos. I agree...people should be fit to run, not run to get fit.

Bethany - thank you for your kind words. It seems we are on the same page here. I think the image comparison brings the point home: running vs wt training/intervals.
I have always believed that running should not be undertaken by untrained people yet constantly you see these poor souls limping down the road and you know it is just
an injury waiting to happen. Women with an abdominal diastasis should not be undertaking these activities until a surgical repair and proper core strengthening post
op is done. I have worked with several women in this regard and I am happy if they choose to return to their running activities ONCE we have addressed the diastasis
(repaired it) and worked hard on core strength/stabilization before they hit the trails. Thank you for getting the word out!

Thank you! Thank you SOOOOooo much for writing an article that is candid and insightful and balanced about running. It's really not all it's cracked up to be, and I like the image comparison you make. Another thing to consider is that for men and women dealing with a poochy belly, the impact of running will do more harm than good to their stretched-out abdominal wall. For those with a severe split (diastasis - something I've VERY passionate about drawing attention to) running does to their core what shaking does to a wet bag of groceries: seriously screws up their connective tissue! What you said about being fit to run not running to get fit is hugely important. Thank you so much for writing a stellar article. I'll be sharing it on my FB walls and with my members of Fit2B Studio! - Bethany

Many thanks narina for this awesome statement. Plantar Fasciitis is certainly a debilitating issue...I should realise - I am a victim myself personally!
The ideal treatment solutions in my view is a good amount of rest combined with the correct sort of stretches.

Hi, I was reading your article "Go for the burn baby" and can agree, with that burn alone does not render muscle mass. However, the burn process is what cut your muscle to produce better results. Ask 10 bodybuilders and they will render 10 different answers. However, weight training is a slow process that cannot be rushed into. Conditioning your muscle is the number one rule. After that process passes then increased weight training is where you get the muscle growth and size. I get better results burning muscle to get the condition ready for the higher weight training and low reps to increase size. Exercising only will not make a person to lose weight is the amount of calories consumed daily will assist in losing weight. As muscle growth will increase metabolism to assist in the burning process and lean muscle.

Comment on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome-What, Why? by Buffalo Chiropractor

http://www.GardenofHealthBuffalo.com

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a problem affecting many people in todays society. With more and more daily activities involving computers and computer related activities I am seeing more and more patients with CTS. I find that CTS can have multiple origins: 1 – Cervical misalignments 2- Carpal Bone misalignments 3 – Weak extensor muscles. At home try to strengthen the extensor muscles of the forearm and fingers / hand. This will help to stabilize the muscular component and may reduce your symptoms. If you do not find the exercises of good results consult a local chiropractor as I have helped patients avoid Carpal Tunnel Surgery.
